Industrial Scales are tools that virtually all manufacturing facilities require. Because they are not items that are purchased regularly, it is difficult to know what to look for. Our mission at Scale Compare is to provide some guidelines as to what to look for in each category of electronic scale. We then select some of the more popular models within each category and offer side by side comparisons of some of the most relevant specifications. There is a link at the bottom of each digital scale that is reviewed that will automatically send you to the manufacturer’s web site.
Scale Compare is designed specifically for the industrial user. We avoid units that may be marketed as industrial scales, but in our opinion are not well suited for an industrial environment. This may be because they are not manufactured to be rugged enough. Alternatively, they may not offer the accuracy that is usually required. We also try to avoid scales that appear from a proliferation of unknown sources. These may be manufactured by a number of off shore companies that are then private labeled in the United States. We compare more of the electronic scales from the more well known national and international companies.
You will find comparisons of bench scales and parts counting scales. Platform scales and floor scales with a variety of platform sizes are reviewed. There is special attention paid to high precision scales, as these are not as common. Similarly, explosion proof scales, also known as intrinsically safe scales are also featured. Other categories include drum scales and cylinder scales. Here at Scale Compare, we do expect to update the list of industrial scales that are compared and will be adding additional categories in the future.
